Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Solution Engineer to join our team as an integral part of our strategic projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with partners, understanding their unique needs and requirements, and aligning our existing solutions to provide tailored solutions.

From pre-sales to post-sales, you will collaborate closely with our Solution Architects, product managers, and engineering teams to design, implement, test, and launch solutions for our partners.

Your technical expertise, communication skills, and experience in payment services will play a vital role in driving successful collaborations.

Responsibilities

Partner Engagement:

  • Act as a primary technical point of contact for partners, maintaining effective communication and building strong relationships.
  • Conduct thorough needs analysis and requirement gathering to understand partners' business goals and challenges.
  • Collaborate with partners to identify opportunities where our embedded financing platform can provide value and drive business growth.

Solution Design and Implementation:

  • Work closely with Solution Architects, product managers, and engineering teams to design innovative and scalable solutions that meet partners' requirements.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into detailed solution specifications and functional designs.
  • Ensure the seamless integration of our embedded financing platform with partners' existing systems and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define and document technical implementation plans.

Sales and Business Development Support:

  • Support the sales team in pre-sales activities by conducting technical presentations, demonstrations, and solution walkthroughs to potential partners.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance during partner negotiations and contract discussions.
  • Assist in the development of proposals and responses to RFPs/RFIs, ensuring alignment with partners' needs and objectives.

Project Management Support:

  • Working closely with partners and internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of technical aspects of project implementation
  • Conduct solution testing and coordinate with partners to resolve any technical issues or challenges.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to partners during the implementation and post-launch phases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience (2+ years) working as a Solution Engineer or in a similar technical role, preferably in the payments industry, working with merchants and banks.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, APIs, cloud services, web technologies, and system integration.
  • Big plus - previous experience as a software engineer, with proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with financial technologies, POS systems, or e-commerce platforms is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to meet with partners or attend industry conferences/events.

NYC Posting: In accordance with New York City Local Law 32, the expected salary for this role is between $115,000-$150,000. This role may be eligible for additional compensation in the form of bonuses and/or stock options. All offers to candidates will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s individual experience, skill set, background and other business and organizational needs.
